Activities for You and Your Dog
Off-Leash Fun: Although all four of Pacifica’s beaches are dog-friendly, the only one that is leash-free is Esplanade Beach. This beach is more remote and can be accessed via a trail/stairs on Esplanade Dr. Be sure to check the tides before going as the shore can be very narrow during high tide.

Go for a Hike: Mori Point is a breathtaking 3 mile dog friendly hike complete with potential whale sightings and incredible ocean views. This trail is a great place to view wildflowers, endangered species and sunsets. Another great option is the Pedro Point Headlands, this area features 246 acres to explore and offers views of headland cliffs, San Pedro Rock, Devil's Slide and the Pacific coastline. There are a few trails to choose from and from certain areas you can look down at Linda Mar Beach and watch the surfers.
Have a Beach Picnic: Grab food to-go and set up a spot on Linda Mar State Beach to enjoy whale watching in the spring, then take your pup exploring along the beautiful beachfront walking trail.
