Sea-Level Rise Adaptation & Coastal Infrastructure Resiliency Efforts

The City is undertaking a number of other planning and infrastructure protection activities along the coastline. Review the Latest Updates on these activities.

Pacifica Pier Handrail Repair Project - Contractor Prequalification Package
The project includes removal and replacement of Pacifica Municipal Pier handrails.

FY 2024-25 Pavement Resurfacing Project

The FY 2024-25 Pavement Resurfacing Project will resurface various streets in the City of Pacifica and follows the Council approved 5-year Streem Maintenance Program. The Project will resurface streets in various streets (See Vicinity Map below) and includes pavement overlay, rubber cape seal, slurry seal, double slurry seal, spot repairs, base repairs, pavement striping and other miscellaneous work.

 

FY 2024-25 Concrete Improvements Project

The project includes new ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, curb and gutter and installing hot mix asphalt and other miscellaneous work in various locations.

 

Midblock Crosswalks Improvements Project

The Midblock Crosswalk Improvements Project will install new RRFBs (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons), painted bulbouts, and refresh crosswalk striping to improve midblock crosswalks near four schools in the City of Pacifica. Various improvements will be installed at Ingrid B Lacy Middle School, Vallemar Elementary School, Ortega Elementary School, and Terra Nova High School.

 

Additional Projects

Highway 1/Manor Drive Overcrossing Improvement Project

The purpose of the project is to improve traffic circulation and operations and enhance pedestrian and bicycle access on and near the overcrossing.

FY 2021-2022 Linda Mar Pump Station Upgrade Project

This project consists of the installation of a temporary MCC, replacement MCC, and various other electrical upgrades to the Linda Mar pump station.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Office of Business & Economic Opportunity (OBEO) website and the Office of Small Business and DVBE Services (OSDS) provides training, counseling and resources to small businesses.
